BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Segregation is the practice of keeping ethnic, racial, religion or gender groups separate, especially by enforcing the use of separate schools, transportation and housing.

Could you imagine not going to the school of your choice? Could you imagine being in a classroom with students who are only your race? How about eatting and drinking at seperate restuarants or not being able to play with your friends from a different ethnic group? Or even being mistreated because of your skin color? Some of you have experienced this type of treatement and some of you will never. In celebration of Black History month we will explore the life of Ruby Bridges and learn how she made changes during the time of segregation.
